This bowie has been forged from 256 layers of 1084 and 15n20 carbon steel Damascus. A ladder pattern has been dug into the blade during the forging process to reveal a tight and chatoyant pattern. The wrought iron for the fittings has been salvaged from an old wagon wheel found on a local farm. Wrought iron has a long granular structure which, when etched in acid brings out a pattern-like texture. This knife features a framed handle construction and stabilized maple burl handle scales.
